Required at our Great Yarmouth office, Fugro Alluvial Offshore Limited currently has job openings for

GEOLOGISTS

The position is based in our Great Yarmouth office and includes site work on offshore and near-shore geotechnical site investigations in UK and worldwide locations.

Offshore, the candidate will assist in both geotechnical and wire line geophysical data acquisition and will be responsible for geotechnical and geophysical reporting. The candidate must be able to work in a team and have a practical and flexible outlook as they will be a part of, and eventually lead a multi-discipline team in a challenging environment.

When working in the office, the candidate will be expected to carry out core logging and soil testing in our soil laboratory and prepare geotechnical and geophysical reports.

The candidate should hold a degree in Geology or similar subject. Experience of site investigation work to BS 5930 and soil testing to BS1377 is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.

The position includes competitive salary, daily site allowance plus BUPA health care and company pension scheme.

OFFSHORE EQUIPMENT TECHNICIANS

The position is based in our Great Yarmouth office and includes site work on offshore and near-shore geotechnical site investigations in UK and worldwide locations.

Offshore, the candidate will operate and maintain a wide range of geotechnical survey equipment. The candidate must be able to work in a team and have a practical and flexible outlook as they will be a part of a multi-discipline team in a challenging environment.

The candidate must demonstrate general mechanical and/or electronic engineering aptitude, and preferably have offshore experience on vessels. Specific experience with CPT or vibrocoring operations is preferred, but not essential.

WIRE LINE LOGGING TECHNICIANS

Offshore, the candidate will operate and maintain downhole wire line logging equipment. The candidate must be able to work in a team and have a practical and flexible outlook as they will be a part of a multi-discipline team in a challenging environment.

The candidate must demonstrate electronic engineering aptitude, and preferably have offshore experience on vessels. Specific experience of downhole wire line logging operations is preferred, but not essential.
